Ag 1 Source is looking for a Nursery/Farm Manager, for an established company who will be having a retirement at this location and needs a solid leader to step in and manage this facility. We need someone with a strong background in production, whether it be production ag, high value crop, horticultural crops or from the forestry industry. All those types of background would be applicable. This role will have budgetary responsibility for up to $2.5 million, manage 3-5 full time employees and the location will have a large number of seasonal employees for specific times of the year.

What you will be doing:
Directly managing the operations of the 400+ acre nursery/farm.
Working closely with the production manager ensuring appropriate timing for the crop to fill orders
Managing the inventory, working with shipping and logistics as well as building relationships with the customers.
Working with the sales team as well as the customers in a team effort to promote strong customer satisfaction
Leading the employees
Managing the safety, budget, planning and all other things that fall under day to day operations
A successful candidate will possess the following:
Several years of successful management experience
Production facility management of some kind, whether it be a row crop production farm, horticultural crop or high-value crop farm, or other applicable experience
Strong work ethic, communication skills and strong computer/Excel/Power Point experience.
A Bachelor's or Masters degree is preferred in Forestry, Agronomy, Horticulture or related fields. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
Compensation: Targeted compensation is in the $85-$100K base range depending on experience.

Desired Location: There is flexibility in regards to specific place to live, but just outside of the Augusta, GA and Aiken, SC area would be ideal. Just need to be roughly 30 miles or closer to the farm.
