We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven individual who will own the Logistic Execution/Warehouse Management processes. This position will report to the Americas Logistics Manager and we strongly prefer applicants who reside in the metro Atlanta, GA area.
The logistics engineer is a member of the logistics team who supports data and software management, operational reporting, standardized operational processes, and problem resolution. The logistics engineer identifies operational reporting needs, and key performance indicators that assist management in making data driven business decisions. The position also works closely with other departments across Barco to synergize departmental assets in order to achieve company goals.
Determine operational reporting needs and key performance indicators that support operational goals.
Manage quality reporting tools.
Analyze logistic business opportunities to determine feasibility, efficiency, and resource requirements.
Perform expedient analysis of requests for information provided by management.
Assist logistic personnel in leveraging existing tools to increase efficiency.
Research new and existing technologies that solve operational needs.
Synergize multiple departments across Barco to achieve company goals.
Support Manager with standardized operational processes.
Identify opportunities to enhance business processes, increase profitability, and enhance efficiency.
Assist in the design of operational / software training.
Create and report quality oriented presentations.
Act as the Logistics department database and software subject matter expert.
Audit EDI messages and work with partners to resolve.
Audit and validate user data entry within the company database.
Track resolution of invalid user data entries within the company database.
Responsible for the managing of the 3PL partner productivity.
Conduct logistics studies or analyses, such as time studies, zero-base analyses, rate analyses, network analyses, flow-path analyses, or supply chain analyses.
Analyze or interpret logistics data involving customer service, forecasting, procurement, manufacturing, inventory, transportation, or warehousing.
Review global, national, or regional transportation or logistics reports for ways to improve efficiency or minimize the environmental impact of logistics activities.
Identify cost-reduction or process-improvement logistic opportunities
Advanced Microsoft Office Application Suite skills.
Knowledge of database design and design theory.
Knowledge of effective data visualization techniques.
Ability to work with both internal and external entities to adequately understand data content.
Ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments and disciplines to achieve goals.
Knowledge of data cleansing procedures.
Background knowledge of transportation industry.
Ability to analyze complex data sets and assess trends.
SAP experience- 3-5 years (system knowledge)
