Job Description Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts and assemblies between sections or departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities and complies and maintains manual or computerized records: Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirement to identify overdue materials and to track material. Requisitions material and establishes sequential delivery dates to departments according to job order priorities and material availability. Examines material delivered to production departments to verify conformance to specifications. Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules. Calculates amount of material required to complete job orders, applying knowledge of product and manufacturing processes. Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records such as material inventory, in-process production reports and status and location of materials. May move or transport materials from one department to another manually or using material handling equipment. May arrange for repair and assembly of material or part. May monitor and control movement of material or parts on automated conveyor system. This position is a Deployable Position: Must meet deployment qualifications and maintain deployable status Upon notification from the government, deploys to support issuing or receipt of equipment Must be capable to deploy to a contingency theater of operations as determined by the US Government within five days of notice Must be capable of getting a minimum of a SECRET security clearance Must meet government specified requirements to be deployable: including annual health screenings, training requirements, and passport Principle Responsibilities of position: 1. Evaluate wet and dry batteries, operate battery charging equipment and sustain battery stocks in sufficient quantities to support APS-3 projects. Deliver batteries to ships, recover used batteries for evaluation. 2. Operate fuel point equipment for the purpose of fueling government support vehicles and wholesale military tactical vehicles. Operate fuel recovery and filtering equipment. 3. Complete local Worksite Environmental Monitor (WEM) Training, perform WEM duties in various work sites. 4. Maintain inventories of HAZMAT, orders supplies in advance of need, maintain HAZMART and associated work sites in compliance with local, state and federal laws, policies and procedures. 5. Perform duties as a member of the Spill Response Team. 6. Manage Satellite Accumulation Areas as required, maintain inventory of spill response materials. 7. Perform duties as a waste handler, pick up from the point of generation, move to temporary storage and complete all necessary documentation. 8. Dispose of HAZMAT and HAZWASTE IAW local procedures, package, store, prepare for shipment, prepare required documentation. Complete and maintain drum logs, waste logs and waste management databases utilizing MS Excel, Access and other computer based programs. 9. Perform other duties such as Building Officer, Time Keeper, Fire Warden, etc. assigned. 10. Assist HAZMART Supervisor/Facilities Coordinator with daily management activities of APS-3 occupied bldgs. 11. Assess and puncture aerosol cans for proper disposal. 12. Actively participate inKBRwyle implementations, 5S and HSE Integration initiatives, Good Catch Reporting and Continuous Improvement Programs. Physical Requirements: 1. Standing - 2/3 hours per day 2. Walking 2/3 hours per day 3. Sitting - 2/3 hours per day 4. Lifting - up to 35 lbs. occasionally 5. Squatting, kneeling, bending, reaching and climbing - occasionally Qualifications 1. High School diploma or equivalent. 2. Knowledge/experience working with Safety Data Sheets (SDS). 3. Must be able to obtain and maintain local base access and meet personnel security requirements for access to Army IT systems. 4. Good working knowledge of Windows, MS Word, Excel, Microsoft Office and Access. 5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, successfully pass required training. 6. Possess current/valid driver's license, must be able to obtain through local training license to operate forklift, tug and cargo trucks. 7. Obtain and maintain respirator use certification. 8. Knowledge of federal, state and local environmental laws, regulations, policies and procedures and experience applying them in an industrial environment and experience managing HAZMAT and HAZWASTE in an automated management system is a plus. 9. Working knowledge of the APS-3 Program Quality and HSE Management Systems, policies and procedures is a plus. 10. Commercial Driver's License with HAZMAT and/or tanker endorsement is a plus.
